Austism Seminar – Intervention in Autism
Presented by Richard Mills

The Centre of Excellence for Clinical Innovation and Behaviour Support is presenting a one day seminar – “Autism Seminar – Intervention in Autism” with Richard Mills.

Richard Mills is an international expert in Autism, he is the Director of Research Autism in the UK; he holds positions at Taisho University in Japan, University of Bath, NICE, British Institute of Learning Disabilities, Bond University and is an Editorial Board Member of Advances in Autism. He works internationally and recent work includes providing consultancy for Autism Resource Centre Singapore, Inspire Foundation Malta and Meeting of Minds Denmark. Previously he held  the position of Director of Research at the National Autistic Society in the UK. Richard says:

“I am keen that people with autism, their families and professionals share their perspectives and expertise with us so that our work remains relevant and helpful and that we are able to reach more people. The cost of autism in both human and economic terms is not currently matched by research funding. The need for high quality research is pressing and a part of my role is to explore all possible avenues to bring additional resources to meet this challenge.’’

Richard will speak to the international research in his presentation, providing an expert overview of the current state of research and practice in regard to support people with Autism and their families. He is an authoritative and entertaining speaker and this is a fantastic opportunity to hear from an expert in the field.
